Welcome to the Lakes Figure Skating Club’s webpage.

Lakes Figure Skating Club is USFSA sanctioned non-profit organization in Detroit Lakes, MN. We are an enthusiastic group of parents, volunteers, skaters, instructors and supporters dedicated to creating opportunities for our youth to excel in figure skating and skating competitions.

Exciting changes for 2016/2017 at Lakes Figure Skating!

We’re so excited to introduce Learn to Skate USA. On June 1, 2016, U.S. Figure Skating unveiled a new name, a new logo, a new mission and new objectives. It’s the Basic Skills program – revamped and recharged!

Whether you wish to enjoy the recreational benefits of skating or dream of Olympic fame, Learn to Skate USA is the place to start. Endorsed by U.S. Figure Skating, USA Hockey and US Speedskating, Learn to Skate USA offers every participant a safe and rewarding experience on the ice and beyond. Head to www.LearnToSkateUSA.com now to check out all the new program has to offer.

We are also asking that all families sign up or renew their skaters membership with Learn to Skate USA before the start of our skating season.

Reduced lesson fees for skaters and families for 2016/2017

We want to offer the chance to experience the joy of figure skating to as many kids as we can in our community. Thanks to the hard work of our coaches and board members and generous donations from local business sponsors we are able to offer reduced lesson fees this year.

Lesson fees for the entire season are now only $150! We are also offering reductions for siblings; $105 for the second family member, $75 for the third family member and the 4th sibling is FREE.

If you are not sure if your child is ready or right for figure skating then consider our trial session from October 16th to November 13th for the bargain price of $50. If they decide to stay for the rest of the year simply pay the remaining $100 on November 13th.

Want to learn new skating skills this year and have a ton of fun with your skating friends?

Then sign up for our Lakes Skating Precision line team.

This opportunity is for any skater in level 5 or above. We will meet every Sunday after lessons from 6.30pm to 7pm. Cost for precision line is only $50 for the whole year.
